Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin have partnered with our client, located 20 minutes south of Winnipeg, to recruit a Human Resources Manager for a maternity leave coverage role, starting as soon as possible.

Responsibilities of a Human Resource Manager include, but are not limited to:

Lead the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, onboarding, and training
Perform new hire orientation and employee onboarding activities, including the completion of new hire paperwork
Provide coaching and counseling to managers and employees on HR-related issues, including conflict resolution, performance improvement, and compliance
Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures where necessary to ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations
Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
Implement and maintain employee performance management programs, including goal setting, performance evaluations, career development and performance improvement plans
Provide guidance and support on compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and employee benefits
Accurately and efficiency process employee payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and provide support to employees with payroll related inquiries
Manage the employee benefits program, from enrollment to termination, and provide support to employees with benefits related inquiries
Develop and deliver HR training programs to managers and employees
Maintain HR metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives

Skills a Human Resource Manager would be preferred to have:

Post-secondary education (Degree, Diploma) in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is required
5+ years of experience working in a Human Resources role at the level of HR Generalist or higher
2+ years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role in Human Resources is considered an asset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and HRIS software
