Reporting to the Director, the Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the successful execution of construction projects from initiation to completion.

Primary Scope of Role :

Ensures project is constructed according to design, budget and schedule.
Ensure project adheres federal, provincial and local safety/environmental legislation and acts.
Monitors project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, labour, materials, equipment maintenance, safety and quality control.
Manage construction project subcontractors including contract agreements, performance, schedule, costs, safety and quality control.
Interfaces with project team and related third parties.
Monitors and inspects project site to maintain a safe work environment and provides leadership to ensure policies, procedures and standards are followed.
Prepare estimates related to project scope changes.
Supervises, provides guidance and assesses performance of direct reports and other team members.
Oversees project closeout.

Position Requirements :

A P.
Eng.
or a C.E.T.
designation is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in civil construction projects (Earthworks, Road/Paving, Structures (bridges), underground utilities).
Experience in managing all aspects of road building, asphalt, structure and construction projects.
Experience with ICI projects is an asset.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and build strong working relationships.
Familiar with project management and estimating software programs.
Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment.
Effective decision-making and problem solving skills.
Effective time management and prioritization skills.
