The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As an Automation and Control Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:

• Lead efforts to improve manufacturing equipment reliability, safety and performance through design, optimization and implementation of robust control schemes.
• Develop, implement, and support automation solutions using PLC systems, HMIs, motion controls, machine vision, robotics, and SCADA.
• Apply advanced engineering principals to effectively troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
• Support Engineering and Maintenance teams in equipment optimization, troubleshooting and documentation.
  Provide mentorship as required.
• Stay current with industry trends and technology, network with corporate engineering teams.
• Other duties as assigned by Engineering Supervisor.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, science or a technical discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND minimum of two (2) years of experience in industrial automation with proficiency in Control System design and PLC/HMI programming

OR

• High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) AND minimum of six (6) years of experience in industrial automation with proficiency in Control Systems design and PLC/HMI programming

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience with any of the following:
  Machine Vision and Sensing (Accusentry, Cognex, Keyence), Robotics (Fanuc, UR), Machine Guarding and Safety Systems, OT Networks, and SCADA systems
• Allen-Bradley/Rockwell experience
• Hands-on experience working on automation and/or manufacturing processes
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), or eligible to register as one, in Manitoba
• Demonstrated project leadership abilities on highly technical and complex projects
• Familiarity with the MedTech industry
• Experience with AutoCAD and electrical schematic design and drawing
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities

Onsite - 400 Route 100, Morden, MB Canada

Travel:
May include up to 10% domestic/international
