OVERVIEW

The Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's enterprise-level systems strategy. Their primary role is to ensure that their assigned systems are operating efficiently, securely, and effectively to support the manufactured housing, recreational vehicle, accounting/financial, and other ancillary business objectives.

JOB DUTIES

  • Develops and implements strategic system roadmap and initiatives aligned with Sun's goals and objectives.
  • Partners with business leaders across Sun to inform and gain buy-in on the system vision, strategy, features, budgets, and priorities.
  • Stays informed of and understands high-level business processes across various systems within the enterprise technology architecture.
  • Oversees installations, configurations, and implementations on assigned systems.
  • Monitors and ensures assigned systems' availability, performance, and security; promptly resolves issues or business disruptions.
  • Conducts regular system assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement; implements measures to mitigate risks.
  • Develops and maintains system documentation, including operating and support procedures, configurations, and technical specifications.
  • Leads required upgrades and enhancements to the assigned system.
  • Collaborates with external vendors and internal teams to gather requirements, analyze needs, design, and implement system solutions.
  • Oversees acquisition, disposition, and conversion tasks related to assigned systems.
  • Manages relationships with external vendor partners and internal technology teams.
  • Maintains accurate system records, establishes contacts, support procedures, and manages key system dates.
  • Stays abreast of emerging tech trends, recommends system enhancements, and drives adoption strategies.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in information technology or a related field (Required).
  • At least 5 years of experience in product ownership, system administration, or support roles.
  • Minimum of 3 years in enterprise systems management, including design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills for customer requests using configuration.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and reporting skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Visio.
  • Ability to take initiative and adapt to change.
  • Knowledge of configuration and support best practices.
  • Solid understanding of IT security principles, including access controls, data protection, and compliance.
  • Effective collaboration skills with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
