Your Role - Connecting Knowledge & Technology

Curtin University is deeply committed to First Nations knowledge, voices, and perspectives. Through ourFirst Nations Build Team, we are creatingculturally safe, engaging, and innovative educational experiencesthat blendtraditional wisdom with modern digital media.
As anEducational Media Developer, you will play a key role in designinginteractive multimedia learning materialsthat support First NationsRanger Groups, Land Management Businesses, and Communities.
You will work closely withElders, Knowledge Holders, and educators, using digital tools tocapture stories, develop engaging learning resources, and help preserve First Nations knowledge for future generations.

What You'll Be Doing

Developing digital learning materials- including video, animation, web-based content, and interactive tools.
Working with First Nations Elders, rangers, and educatorsto create culturally safe and engaging learning experiences.
Ensuring digital content works effectivelyacross platforms, including learning management systems.
Providing media expertiseto Learning Designers and subject matter experts.
Maintaining ethical and cultural integrityby respecting copyright, intellectual property, and First Nations protocols.

About You
We are looking for someone who:

Hastertiary qualificationsin media, digital design, or a related field OR equivalent experience.

Ispassionate about First Nations knowledge and education.

Hasexperience in digital media design and development, particularly for First Nations learners.

Is confident inweb design, video production, and interactive media creation.

Works well incollaborative, cross-cultural teamsand is committed tocommunity-led projects.

Canprioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and bring creative ideas to life.

Role Requirements
