We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Residential Carers to join our well-established team providing Supported Independent Living.
You will be supporting male and female participants within their own homes and out in the community.
Positions are available in Sunnybank, Coorparoo, and Springwood.
Locations & Participant Information Sunnybank Female client (wheelchair user) with high seizure needs, light manual handling required, experience with behaviours - female carers only - day, evening, and sleepover shifts.
Male client (wheelchair user) with PEG feeding, light manual handling required, experience with mental health - female carers only - day, evening, and sleepover shifts.
Female client with dementia, mealtime management plan - female carers only - day, evening, and sleepover shifts.
Coorparoo Independent male client (wheelchair user), experience in hoist use, light manual handling, medication administration - female carers only - day, evening, and awake shifts.
Springwood Female client with dementia - female carers only - day and awake shifts.
Shifts Available Day shifts:
6am - 4pm Evening shifts:
4pm - 10pm Sleepover shifts:
4pm/5pm - 6am/8am Awake shifts:
11pm - 7am Responsibilities Daily Living Support Evaluate participants' needs and provide tailored support to encourage independence.
Assist with personal care, mobility, and safe use of equipment/aids.
Administer medication (oral and PEG).
Community and Household Engagement Plan and coordinate social activities, meals, and outings.
Support communication, financial decisions, and tenancy management.
Perform domestic tasks such as cooking, laundry, and cleaning.
Provide transport for appointments and social activities (own vehicle preferred).
Health and Safety Follow individualised Care Plans (e.g.
Behaviour, Mealtime, Seizure).
Maintain a safe and supportive environment at all times.
Keep records and communicate effectively with families and healthcare teams.
Requirements Technical Skills At least 1 year's experience supporting individuals with a Behaviour Support Plan and Seizure Management.
Experience with PEG feeding and use of hoists (preferred).
Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Full driving licence and own vehicle (mileage paid).
Soft Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy, patience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Creativity and initiative in supporting participant wellbeing.
Mentality Participant-focused with a commitment to person-centred care.
Team player with a flexible and positive approach.
Respect for individual dignity, rights, and choices.
