SAR METALS Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Truck Driver to join our growing logistics team based in Adelaide.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of goods across metropolitan and regional areas in South Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
Transporting Goods safely drive trucks to transport metal materials, ensuring timely delivery to and from company sites, suppliers, and customers Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure that the truck is in proper working order Safety Compliance and Documentation Adhere to traffic laws, workplace safety procedures, and company policies while driving Route Planning and Time Management Plan the most efficient routes to minimize fuel consumption and ensure timely deliveries Customer Interaction and Delivery Assistance Interact professionally with customers when delivering metal materials, ensuring clear communication and customer satisfaction Load Handling Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment (if licensed) to load and unload metal goods from the truck Emergency Management Respond to accidents, breakdowns, or delays, ensuring all incidents are reported according to company policy Skills and Experience Required:
• At least 12 months of relevant truck driving experience.
• A valid Australian HR or HC driver's license (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable:
• Forklift license.
• Experience with long-haul or interstate transport.
