’n Vloeistof het nie ’n vaste vorm nie, maar neem die vorm van die houer aan. Ons meet vloeistof in liter en milliliter. Groot hoeveelhede word in kiloliter gemeet.

Onthou jy nog?

1 000 ml = 1 liter

1 000 liter = 1 kℓ

1. Jy het nou al gesien dat ons by lengte en massa verskillende meeteenhede vir verskillende situasies gebruik. Net so gebruik ons ook spesifieke eenhede om bepaalde inhoude te meet. In watter meeteenheid sal jy die inhoud van die volgende meet?

Die grootste waterval in die wêreld is die Bogoma-water­val in die Kongorivier. Daar vloei elke sekonde 17 000 kiloliter water oor die rand van dié waterval! Kan jy sê hoeveel liter water dit per sekonde is?

Wanneer ek moet optel of aftrek met die eenhede van meting, massa of inhoud, is dit die maklikste om alles eers na die kleinste eenheid te herlei , bv.
