Natcast (short for The National Center for the Advancement of Semiconductor Technology) is a new, purpose-built, non-profit entity created to operate the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC) consortium, established by the CHIPS Act of the U.S.

Leading advanced research initiatives at Albany NanoTech Complex, this position directly impacts the development of next-generation semiconductor capabilities while collaborating with world-class researchers and industry partners.
Responsibilities:
Conduct high-impact research on advanced semiconductor materials, device architectures, and manufacturing processes, which can include owning and running Si within the Albany NanoTech facilityLead investigations into emerging semiconductor fabrication techniques, process integration, and materials engineering, which can include owning and running Si within the Albany NanoTech facilityCollaborate with industry partners, academic institutions, and government agencies to accelerate technological breakthroughsDevelop and publish research findings in scientific journals, patents, and industry conferencesWork closely with industry and consortium partners to ensure alignment with CHIPS for America national prioritiesRepresent Natcast in scientific forumsRequired Skills and Experience:
PhD or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field7+ years semiconductor R&D experience at advanced nodesStrong expertise in lithography, etching, deposition, metrology, and process integrationDemonstrated success in developing novel semiconductor technologiesExperience with EDA methodologies and test structure designBackground in multidisciplinary research collaborationsHands-on semiconductor fabrication experience including Si hardware executionPreferred Skills & Experience:
