Sales Manager Life Sciences - UK market

The origins of GVS initially focused on medical filters for blood and IV solutions. The corporate headquarters of the GVS Group is located in Italy and has business units across Argentina, Brazil, China, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Romania, South Korea, Thailand, Russia, Turkey, UK, USA, and Vietnam.

We are looking for a Sales Manager to lead and drive the growth of our Life Sciences business in the UK market. This role is pivotal in establishing strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for growth, and delivering tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of the life sciences sector.

Core activities & responsibilities:

Distributor and Dealer Management:
- Develop and manage relationships with existing distributors while identifying new distributor partners in the UK market.
- Train, motivate, and guide distributors to enhance sales performance and achieve business goals.
- Monitor distributor performance, providing feedback, and ensuring they meet sales targets.
Business Development:
- Generate new business opportunities and expand the customer base in the life sciences sector.
- Identify key decision-makers and understand their sourcing and purchasing needs.
- Develop sales strategies tailored to the UK market, ensuring the growth of the business through distributors.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential market gaps.
Sales and Financial Analysis:
- Perform financial analysis, including program costing and quoting, in collaboration with the technical team.
- Explain product pricing and cost structures to distributors and customers.
- Develop and submit accurate quotations while following up to close deals.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with the marketing, technical, and product management teams to ensure customer needs are met.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market conditions.
- Ensure timely and effective communication of all customer requirements and market insights to internal teams.

Job Qualifications, Skills and Attitudes:

University degree or above, major in engineering, life sciences, or business-related disciplines.
At least 4-5 years of experience in life science sales, specifically managing distributors and engaging with end customers.
Proven track record of managing and developing distributor networks in the life sciences sector.
Strong experience in generating new business and expanding market share.
Ability to multitask effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with a proactive and solution-driven approach.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with distributors and clients.
Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and driving sales performance.
Strong personality with the ability to influence and lead teams in a complex organization.
Willingness to travel frequently.

Workplace: Italy (remote)

Willingness to relocate to the UK in the medium term would represent a strong plus.
