About the Role

Nscale is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our cloud platform product team.
You will build and maintain our web-based cloud console, ensuring a consistent user experience across our platform.

The ideal candidate has experience with front-end development, CLI design, and cloud platforms.
You will write clean, well-tested code that follows modern UI/UX standards and work closely with our team to deliver products for our customers.
While this role focuses on UI engineering, we operate in a cross-functional environment where engineers are expected to contribute beyond their core expertise and support various aspects of our platform development.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the development of high-impact features.
• Work closely with product designers to maintain and enhance our design systems.
• Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams to integrate innovative solutions.
• Implement best practices in React JS development and maintain clean, well-tested code.
• Ensure the highest standards of UI performance and accessibility.
• Proactively identify and address technical challenges.
• Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

About You:

Must-Have Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Expert-level knowledge of TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency in React & Next.js.
• Experience consuming OpenAPI 3.0+ specs to build apps integrating with microservices.
• Familiarity with building and maintaining shared component libraries.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field (or equivalent practical experience)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Tailwind CSS.
• Familiarity with GitOps, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Experience building services in Go.
• Knowledge of end-to-end testing as part of a CI/CD pipeline.

Please Note:
We're currently working remotely, but plan to transition to a hybrid working model in 2025 as we look to secure a modern office space in London.
