H2SITE - Lab Technician R&DH2SITE is a deep-tech start-up using advanced membrane reactor technology to address hydrogen transport challenges by converting hydrogen carriers with established supply chains and separating hydrogen gas blends into fuel cell-grade hydrogen.Founded in 2020 in Bilbao, Spain, as a spin-off from TECNALIA and Eindhoven University of Technology (TUe), with ENGIE New Ventures as its first industrial investor, H2SITE employs over 60 team members in its membrane production facilities in Loiu, Spain.We have developed a unique membrane factory that produces solutions for hydrogen transport, relying on the local industrial ecosystem and top international investors.Our technology involves membrane reactors for in situ hydrogen separation and production from feedstocks like ammonia, methanol, formic acid, and waste-derived syngas.Mission :
As a Lab Technician R&D, you will oversee the experimental R&D campaigns within the engineering department, ensuring measurement equipment and instruments are accurately maintained and calibrated.Responsibilities :
Perform gas testing.Maintain and modify the test facility.Maintain equipment and instruments.Monitor gas consumption.Develop start-up and shut-down checklists for test rigs.Provide insights for reactor optimization and support decision-making with updated configurations.Assist the engineering team during reactor design.Collaborate with membrane R&D, process engineering, and mechanical engineering teams to incorporate inputs into reactor designs.Stay updated on the latest technological advancements through literature review.Requirements :
Education :
Bachelor of Science or vocational training in laboratory, chemistry, or related sciences.Language :
B2 level of English.Experience :
2-5 years in similar roles.Basic knowledge of Word and Excel, assay analysis, documentation, basic programming skills, and familiarity with gases like H2, NH3, CH4, CO.
Experience with gas measurement equipment such as mass spectrometers, GC, and infrared is preferred.What We Offer :
