Role Summary:

The incumbent is responsible for assisting Ground Maintenance Technicians in the Repair shop and with building maintenance in the maintenance and repair of vehicles, equipment and building maintenance functions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with more involved repairs, including disassembling and reassembling parts, hand tools, and following instructions
Support ground maintenance technicians in diagnosing vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as, but not limited to:
- Basic service work- oil & filter changes;
- Changing/repairing tires;
- flushing and replacing fluids; and
Complete all grounds work which includes snow removal, plowing or grading surfaces within the compound
Maintain all landscaping
Observe all buildings and grounds on an ongoing basis to determine maintenance needs and repairs

Must haves:

Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Eager to develop mechanical skills to potentially become a certified mechanic
Ability to lift, bend and reach while working in various positions
Basic understanding of building maintenance, equipment/vehicle components, maintenance procedures and safety protocols
A strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust that we have built with passengers, partners, and communities
Enthusiasm for contributing to our unique mission, whether that's through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support
Must be a legally entitled to work in Canada

Nice to haves:

Experience or coursework/diploma in mechanic-related field
