What You'll Be Doing
You'll be joining The Capital Markets, Technology team, specifically within CIBC's Alternate Solutions Group.
As an Sr Consultant, Technology Support you'll be responsible for capacity review and increases, along with disaster recovery planning/execution.
You will foster ideation and impact our digital and agile transformation by enhancing our clients' banking experience.
Y ou'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How You'll Succeed
Planning and Coordination:
Effectively interact with stakeholders, end users, business analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications as instructed by senior team members.
Acts as Operations Coach and Mentor within scope of responsibility above with all Application Delivery teams and Technology and Operations teams.
Monitor and Plan for Capacity within the virtualized infrastructure.
Strong Communication Skills:
You are a strong written/verbal communicator who is willing to speak up to ensure clear communication channels with team members and other teams.
You are able to clearly communicate with different team members and teams while also being able to communicate to executive leadership when required.
Able to support the operational teams in delivering a highly available infrastructure.
Technological Knowledge:
You are able to demonstrate a strong technical experience in Quality Assurance, IT Infrastructure and Mainframe.
Utilizing your skillset in a leadership capacity to drive progress and provide resolution to any issues that may arise.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate experience with at least 3-5 years of Capacity planning and disaster recovery supporting an infrastructure team/environment.
An asset if you have Azure cloud experience.
You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, and/or a related field.
