Location: Remote Work (preferred location in British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, Northwest Territory, or Nunavut) with the ability to travel to a job site in the Yukon for up to 7 days.

Hourly wage: 50-65 $/hour (depending on qualification and experience), 6% vacation (3 weeks); + 6% instead of benefit; flexible hours

Term: Employment contract of 1 year, renewable (3 months probation period)

Start date: As soon as possible

Hours per week: 25-40 hours /week (flexible hours)

Report to: Project Manager

3EYOND has provided technical expertise to develop and operate renewable energy projects for several communities in British Columbia, Yukon, and Nunavut since 2009. 3EYOND provides consulting services throughout the life cycle of projects, from concept, feasibility, design, construction, and operation & maintenance support.

3EYOND seeks a creative and detail-oriented Energy Efficiency Consultant to join our team.

Minimum qualification & experience:

Ability to work legally in Canada.
Engineering degree, Building Science degree, Architecture degree, Master's degree in Engineering
7+ years of relevant experience in energy efficiency planning and implementation
Willingness to follow public health protocols and best practices against COVID-19 and other health hazards (vaccination, mask, physical distancing, testing, etc.) during community and client visits.
Dedicated to providing a solid work ethic and professional services
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to learn new skills and knowledge
Ability to provide criminal checks and references

Support community home energy efficiency planning
Support home energy retrofit planning and implementation
Support conducting building energy audits
Support implementing energy management programs
Analyze data from and compare with energy models
Support funding applications for related projects

Experience or willingness to learn how to work effectively with Indigenous People
Experience or willingness to learn about anti-racism and anti-oppression
Great attitude, personable, courteous and a great team player
Problem solver, creative, and remain flexible in a fast-changing work environment
Good leadership attributes with a can-do attitude
Comfortable working remotely, using video conference, cloud storage services, and messaging applications
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Home and building energy audits standards
Construction contracts

Software knowledge:

HOT2000, RETSCreen
Building Energy modelling software
