We're seeking an investment expert who shares our passion for Europe's resilience and security, ready to fund dual-use innovators and shape the very foundation of our fund.

Your Role

As the Investment & Operating focussed General Partner, you'll be the driving force behind our fund's investment strategy. You'll have significant influence in setting up the fund, defining its structure, and shaping its future.

Working alongside two other GPs- one (with a background in defence/military) focused on defense ecosystems and procurement, the other GP (a successful serial entrepreneur) focussed on value creation-you'll lead deal-making and portfolio growth to advance our mission of a stronger Europe.

What You'll Do

• Shape the fund's formation, from structuring its framework to defining investment processes.
• Source and evaluate startups and scale-ups creating dual-use technologies that bolster Europe's defense and commercial markets.
• Lead due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiations to secure high-impact investments.
• Guide portfolio companies to scale, connecting them to defense and commercial networks.
• Refine our investment strategy to align with Europe's security and resilience goals.
• Build relationships with VCs, financial institutions, and defense stakeholders to amplify our impact.
• Support fundraising by crafting compelling narratives for LPs to showcase our vision and performance.

Who You Are

You're an investment expert with a proven track record in deal-making and a burning passion for Europe's defense and resilience.

You're excited to fund dual-use innovators and play a pivotal role in building our fund from the ground up.

Your background may include:

• Venture capital or private equity, with expertise in startup/scale-up investments.
• Investment banking or M&A, specializing in tech or innovation-driven deals.
• Corporate finance or corporate VC, with experience investing in high-growth tech companies.

Requirements

• 7+ years in venture capital, investment banking, or finance, with a focus on startup/scale-up investments.
• Proven expertise in sourcing, evaluating, and closing tech or innovation-driven deals.
• Strong investment acumen to lead transactions, maximize returns, and shape fund formation.
• Deep commitment to strengthening Europe's defense and resilience through dual-use innovation.
• Willingness to invest personal equity in the fund (amount to be discussed).
• Established network in European finance, tech, or defense ecosystems.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with fund formation or structuring investment vehicles.
• Network in defense investments or government contracts (e.g., EU, NATO).
• Knowledge of low-cost funding and overview of grants in defence innovation.
• Expertise in dual-use or deep-tech sectors like AI, cybersecurity, or aerospace.
• Ties to European financial hubs or innovation networks.
