Department/Unit Summary
The RN Coordinator is integral to our mission, demonstrating flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment. They exhibit quality and effectiveness in their work habits and clinical practices while treating staff, physicians, patients, and families with respect.
Stay current on oncology and hematology therapeutic regimens.
Understand and communicate side effects and symptoms related to these treatments.
Assist in the health maintenance of patients with complex diseases.
Screen all telephone requests for assistance from existing patients.
Interview and assess patients for medical interventions in-office and via phone.
Initiate medical interventions based on guideline protocols.
Educate patients about compliance regarding their medical interventions.
Monitor psychosocial and emotional needs of oncology patients.
Support medication management and assist with specialty drug requisitions.
Perform quality improvement tasks and audits within the clinic.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and a bachelor's or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
BLS certification
2 years of Chemotherapy Infusion experience
3-5 years of Oncology experience
ONS Chemo/BIO Provider Card preferred
OCN certification preferred
