Core Responsibilities:
Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of the patient's condition.
Develop a tailored plan of care that addresses identified issues, involving the patient according to their preferences and capabilities.
Implement the plan of care, which includes medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical interventions.
Accurately document all patient care activities.
Monitor, record, and effectively communicate patient conditions to the care team, physician, patient, and family members.
Assist patients in performing daily living activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care across transfers, discharges, and referrals, while addressing spiritual and psychosocial needs.
Assess and provide education to patients and their families based on their learning needs, age, culture, and health conditions.
Act as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Licenses:
Current Registered Nurse License in Tennessee or another compact state.
Required Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) at the time of hire.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire or when transitioning to a new department requiring these certifications.
