As a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you will provide immediate post-operative care for patients recovering from anesthesia.
This role involves utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, ensuring exceptional patient journeys in a dynamic surgical environment.

Department/Unit Summary
Surgical Services at North Alabama Medical Center consists of 15 surgical suites, 6 Endoscopy Rooms, 6 private Pre-Admission Testing rooms, and 30 same day surgery rooms.
Our surgical team consists of specially trained surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, surgical technologists, certified nurse anesthetists and other highly trained professionals.
We strive to provide outstanding and compassionate care and service from pre-op to discharge.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license.
Additional requirements include:
Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
1 to 2 years of experience preferred.
Must have an active AL or Compact RN License.
Must have ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire.
What you will do
RN responsible for providing the immediate post-op recovery care of the Perioperative patient in the PACU through the use of the nursing process.
The Nursing process is defined as the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluating of nursing care pertinent to the individual patient.
