Florence, Alabama is situated in Northwestern Alabama, where the Tennessee River Flows through the scenic Shoals.
On your days off spend some time fishing and boating on Wilson Lake.

Department/Unit Summary

The Labor and Delivery Unit offers obstetrics and gynecology care, as well as pediatrics, breast health and educational classes for new and expecting mothers.
The L&D unit features two HOPE Suite rooms geared toward natural births and include a laboring tub, Bluetooth monitoring system, birthing balls, and birthing swing.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license.
Additional requirements include:

Must have Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification.
Must have BLS, ACLS and NRP.
Two to three years' nursing experience required.

What you will do

The L&D RN under the general supervision of the Director, and according to established policies and procedures, coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient/family advocate, and works with other nursing and ancillary personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.
Work is of a very confidential nature.
Performs other duties of the department as required.
