Supply Chain Intern, Supply and Demand Planning-Fall

OVERVIEW

Perfetti Van Melle - a global confectionary company and makers of great product brands such as Airheads and Mentos is seeking an enthusiastic college student for an internship within our US Supply Chain team. This Planning internship will be based in our Erlanger, KY facility (near the Cincinnati /NKY airport) with the expectation of 25-40 work hours per week. This internship is ideally suited for students who are interested in pursuing a career in Supply Chain as you will gain insight and experience in all fields. The internship is slated for Fall 2025 (August start) with the potential to extend into the Spring semester.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

Communicates delivery updates regularly with internal stakeholders and works to mitigate shortages and delays.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that further streamline our processes
Assists in outside planning responsibilities as necessary.
Assists in outside operations responsibilities.
Assist in monitoring inventory levels and replenishment needs.
Assist in the preparation of planning reports and analysis.
Work closely with other departments such as marketing, manufacturing, and logistics to ensure seamless planning processes.
Assist in evaluating vendor performance and reliability.
Monitor distributor compliance and build out reporting capabilities.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Qualified candidates must be pursuing a college degree, preferably in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
Prior work or internship experience preferred.
Ability to prioritize, effectively manage competing demands and work independently.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Proficient with various software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and adhere to all health & safety requirements.
