Department Overview:
The Hematology, Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant unit operates 24/7 and provides exceptional care to patients with life-threatening diseases and disorders such as cancer, immune disorders, and blood disorders. Our patients range from birth to 20 years old and the unit has 21 beds.

$52.11- $86.81 per hour, based on RN Degree and level of experience.

OHSU is the only hospital in Oregon that performs Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cell Therapy (CAR-T) and Bone Marrow Transplants.
OHSU is a Magnet designated hospital.
The OHSU Nursing shared governance structure is designed to support nurses' engagement, decision making and service. As a result, you'll have the opportunity to participate in unit-based committees and councils that bring nurses from different areas together. You have a seat at the table to make impactful decisions.
OHSU nurses are represented by the Oregon Nurse Association union.
Attending providers are available 24x7 so you always have backup when you need it.
OHSU works collaboratively with other hospitals in the region as they refer patients for specialized care.
Required Qualifications:
1 year RN experience in Pediatric Hem/Onc
Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA)
BSN preferredAssociate Degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire.
Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English
Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information and tools
Current unencumbered Oregon RN license
Current BLS and PALS certifications issued by the American Heart Association
APHON/ONS Chemotherapy certifications
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
Preferred Qualifications:
CPON/CPHON/BMTCN or ONS Certification

Length of Orientation
Either Transition to Practice (TTP) Program Learning Pathway or Orientation experience individualized to the candidate between 2-12 weeks.
