Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Water & Hydraulic Engineer, to join our world-class firm in Cincinnati, OH working within our Water Resiliency Planning & Design Teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and independent professional to join our team locally with support from one of the best qualified consulting firms in the country.
In this position you will utilize your professional experience and technical knowledge of wastewater collection, stormwater, water distribution systems modeling, design and construction, to assist the project teams they support in executing projects and developing project pursuits within the local and regional municipal market of this office, to help build and grow our practice.

Role accountabilities:

Performing engineering activities for wastewater collection system, stormwater, and water distribution modeling, evaluations, investigations, planning, feasibility studies, design and construction.
Work may also include a variety of other water/wastewater infrastructure, including water and wastewater treatment and water / wastewater facilities design, utilities assessments and design.
Assisting others with defining scope of work and objectives through research and fact-finding, combined with a strong understanding of business line and industry requirements you will ensure project compliance with all Arcadis' practices and quality and safety standards.
By exercising independent judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives, you will coordinate for timely completion and submission of project deliverables.
This may include producing and reviewing technical reports, construction documents, and cost estimates for projects.
Regular participation with industry Association's; attending workshops, making presentations, and reviewing professional publications.

Qualifications & Experience:

You are a technically capable with an interest in water infrastructure projects and come to us with:

Hydraulic modeling & engineering knowledge for evaluations, investigations, planning, feasibility studies and modeling (SWMM experience preferred) of wastewater collection, stormwater, and water distribution systems.
Experience with programming, GIS, and HEC-RAS Modeling.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, public speaking/presenting, effective communication with team members, clients and other stakeholders
Exceptional Microsoft Office skills

Required Qualifications

BS degree OR MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

Engineer in Training Certification (EIT) or ability to obtain within 1 year
Previous internship experience with an engineering consulting firm, municipality or other closely related work
Hydraulic modeling & engineering experience for evaluations, investigations, planning, feasibility studies and modeling (SWMM and/or ICM experience expected) of wastewater and stormwater collection systems.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year.
The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $78,000.
Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
