Role Overview
As an Integration Engineer you will be responsible for preparing low-level design, develop, and maintain Integrations on various platforms.
This role involves both creative and analytical skills to solve complex problems and create efficient, reliable Integrations.
You will work with other engineers, product managers and delivery leads, to design integration for systems or applications, determine functional and non-functional needs and implement solutions accordingly.
What will you do in this role
Design, code, verify, test, document, amend and refactor moderately complex application integrations and configurations for deployment in collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams across various regions worldwide.
Design test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting test outcomes.
Participate in requirement, design and specification reviews.
Perform manual and automation testing.
Elicit requirements for systems and software life cycle working practices and automation.
Prepare design options for the working environment of methods, procedures, techniques, tools, and people.
Utilize systems and software life cycle working practices for software components and micro-services.
Deploy automation to achieve well-engineered and secure outcome.
Work within a matrix organizational structure, reporting to both the functional manager and the Product manager.
Participate in Product planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with both functional and Product goals.
What should you have
Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science or any Technology stream.
5+ years of hands-on experience working with MuleSoft, or Kong is highly desired.
Proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint studio, API manager, runtime manager, and other MuleSoft tools.
Strong understanding of integration concepts, ESB (enterprise service bus), and SOA (service-oriented architecture).
Knowledge of integration patterns (e.g., synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven).
Proficiency in authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, JWT, SAML).
Familiarity with JSON, XML, XSLT, OData, REST, and SOA.
Experience with Dataweave for data transformation.
Familiarity with restful and soap web services.
Understanding of API security best practices.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for iPaaS integration projects such as Jenkins, MAVEN, ADO.
Strong experience with version control systems such as svn, GitHub / GitHub action, bitbucket etc.
Exposure to other middleware platforms (e.g., Tibco) is a plus.
Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Cloud-native, AWS certified would be a plus.
