• Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•

• Follow the safety guidelines and safety programs established by CPI and complete safety reports and required records.

• Arrive when your shift is to begin and work the assigned hours. Have the ability to work additional hours as needed, to meet CPI commitments.

• Responsible for the transporting of grain, liquid, dry, and NH3 fertilizers, feed, and additional commodities associated with day-to-day operations of the company.

• Maintain the truck in good working condition which includes, but is not limited to, keeping the truck clean and presentable, reporting all discrepancies of the truck (repairing the ones that you can), and maintaining records for work repairs the truck has received.

• Ensure all regulations and requirements including DOT, IFTA, insurance, and compliance are being maintained.

• Complete proper paperwork, log books, daily log sheets, fuel reports, daily maintenance, and any other required reports.

• Maintain all trailers and trucks so equipment is ready for transporting.

• Operate equipment in a safe and prudent manner. Adhere to the rules and laws established by local, state, and federal agencies.

• Required Basic Qualifications
•

• High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or related experience and/or training.

• Class A CDL.

• Ability to lift up to 25 to 50 pounds of force occasionally.

• Ability to work extended hours to meet business demands.

• Ability to work in dusty conditions, adverse weather conditions and temperature. Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and around moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals and usually loud noises.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

• Ability to pass required physical, background, and drug test.

• Preferred Qualifications
•

• Minimum two years driving experience preferred.

• HAZMAT, tanker, and doubles/triples endorsements preferred.

• Agricultural background.

• Grain, fertilizer, or chemical handling experience.
