Job Title: Respiratory Therapist 3 years recent experience required

Local Rate Notice: Applicants living within 50 miles of the facility will be offered a local pay rate.

Position Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist, under the supervision of the Clinical Director, is responsible for delivering respiratory care services, including therapeutic treatments, diagnostic testing, and patient monitoring. All responsibilities are carried out in accordance with physician orders, department protocols, and the Respiratory Care Department Procedure Manual.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer respiratory therapy procedures to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
Monitor patient responses and progress; document and report any changes.
Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans.
Participate in emergency resuscitation and code response as required.

Required Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy (or equivalent)
Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner License in the State of Maine
RRT credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care
BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification within 30 days of hire

Preferred Skills:

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Experience in acute or critical care settings is a plus
