Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist
The purpose of this role is to perform administrative and technical work in securing and supporting the College's computing and/or network infrastructure.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in cybersecurity with a minimum of one year of experience in cybersecurity or information technology, or a Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity.
Experience with securing operating systems, networks, and various applications at an enterprise level is required.
Cybersecurity certifications are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement additions, deletions, and major modifications to the college-wide information security infrastructure.
Perform vulnerability scans of college systems, review reports, and assist stakeholders with timely remediation.
Conduct security risk assessments and support remediation activities.
Investigate and respond to security anomalies identified through system logs or reported by stakeholders.
Assist in developing and enforcing college-wide information security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
Perform security analysis to protect the institution's business processes while meeting the needs of faculty, students, and administration.
Help the College community identify and remediate security policy violations.
