• Summary
•

This role is responsible for the overall mortgage production of the community loan officer group, including achieving annual sales and growth goals for the territory.

• Role and Responsibilities
•

• Recruit, manage, and retain a team of high producing Retail MLOs and drive results through strategic coaching and networking in the defined territory.

• Develop and grow Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin market share.

• Conduct research on industry trends and best practices to identify and analyze trends and market intelligence for assigned territory; providing regular feedback to assist in the development of sales strategies

• Work with Sr. Director Mortgage Sales to deliver a clear and concise monthly performance analysis that reflects the performance of Retail MLOs including sales projections and quarterly growth strategy

• Design and execute relationship strategies with local agents to ensure regional market penetration and growth.

• Oversee activities in support of new ILCRA expectations as defined by BCU Action plan to include outreach for Community Development, Housing Assistance and Down Payment Assistance programs in footprint.

• Oversees all mortgage origination functions of the Retail MLOs including development of appropriate strategies to ensure the achievement of annual growth and member penetration goals.

• Works closely with the Retail MLO coaching and developing them to provide a high level of service and quality applications. Maintain a high Retail Team NPS score for all closed transactions.

• Prepares appropriate analysis and reporting of key origination results

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to originating mortgage loans. (RESPA, TILA, Safe Act etc.)

• Successfully complete all required registrations or certifications as needed.

• Qualifications and Education Requirements
•

• Experience as a Regional Manager or related position in the mortgage industry.

• Minimum 10 years of experience.

• High level of product and loan structure knowledge within the mortgage industry.

• Effective leadership and coaching skills.

• Demonstrates analytical and creative problem-solving skill.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Effective communicator.

• Must be able to ensure all Retail MLOs and area are knowledgeable about goals, objectives and responsibilities including compliance.

• Strong management skills.

• Must have strong financial management skills to analyze data and information to make decisions and challenge direct reports.

• Highly professional. Ability to model the organizational pace and direction for their region.

• Highly ethical and driven to succeed.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with and present to stakeholders including senior leadership.

• Successful track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
