Located in Wheaton, IL, Wyndemere Senior Living is one of DuPage Countys premier senior living communities. Every day our two dining venues offer residents the best in seasonal dining as well as special catered events.
• Responsibilities:
•
• Prepares or directs the preparation of all food served, following standard recipes and special diet orders.
• Assists the Executive Chef to bring the latest in culinary trends to the residents.
• Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours, so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food is preserved.
• Determines amount and type of food and supplies required for daily menus and seeing that supplies are obtained from storage areas in adequate time for meal production.
Job Type: Full-time
• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. College or vocational courses in cooking/food prep or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club or similar institution preferred.
• Interested in incorporating the latest in culinary and dining trends into our community venues.
• Ability to work some weekends and holidays a must
• Able to obtain Illinois ServSafe Certification required
