Salary Range: $17.00 - $25.50
Department Highlights
Support various locations within 150 miles of your residence
Mileage reimbursement available
Earn an additional $5 per hour as a float premium
Weekend shift differential of $1.25 per hour
Evening/night shift differential of $1.25 per hour for hours worked between 6:00pm - 6:00am
Minimum of 30 hours worked per month is required
One weekend shift needed each month
A minimum of 3 months experience in Long Term Care is required, 6 months preferred
No contract necessary
Role Overview
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to residents in long-term care settings. You will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs), providing personalized assistance with daily living activities, and ensuring residents receive the highest standard of care according to their individual care plans. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Monitoring and recording residents' vital signs.
Facilitating safe transfers and mobility for residents.
Ensuring a positive dining experience by assisting residents with meals and snacks.
Documenting interactions and changes in residents' conditions accurately.
Supporting wellness and recreational programs, encouraging participation among residents.
Maintaining cleanliness and order in living areas through housekeeping and laundry support.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A high school diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory.
A minimum age of 16 years.
Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred.
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification by the State Board of Nursing or the ability to obtain certification within four months of employment.
Annual completion of department-specific competency tests and 12 hours of continuing education.
When applicable, registration with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
A valid driver's license may be required depending on the facility and responsibilities.
