CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Government Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting Group! This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Government Audit.

The successful candidate:

• Supports audits conducted by federal, state, and local agencies by responding to inquiries and obtaining and providing supporting documentation.

• Assists in the preparation of paperwork to support indirect rates, cost of money, and direct charge asset calculations.

• Assists independent CPAs in performing interim audit testing by providing accounting detail, pulling supporting expense reports, and invoices.

• Performs unallowable cost reviews to ensure costs that are unallowable per FAR part 31 are excluded from the indirect rates.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.

• 4 years of related experience.

Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience running reports in Oracle E Business Suite (R12) a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrates proficient knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation and Cost Accounting Standards.

• Expert knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Excel and other related Microsoft Office products.

• Demonstrates strong organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.

• Good interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and external clients/auditors.

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and concise fashion.

Background Check and Drug Testing Information:

Additional Compensation:

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
