What You Will Be Doing:
Accurately measure and cut glass using manual tools or automated cutting equipment.
Review work orders, drawings, and specifications to determine cutting requirements.
Operate glass cutting tables, CNC glass cutters, and related machinery safely.
Handle and move sheets of glass with care to avoid breakage and injury.
Inspect glass for defects such as chips, scratches, or imperfections before and after cutting.
Label and organize cut pieces according to job orders.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report issues promptly.
Assist with inventory control and stock management of raw glass sheets.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Prior experience in glass cutting or similar manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to read technical drawings and use measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment.
Ability to lift and carry sheets of glass (up to 75lbs) with proper equipment and safety protocols.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of safety practices specific to glass handling and cutting.
Familiarity with tempered, laminated, or insulated glass products.
