Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Network Technician / Monitoring Administrator for a long-term, ongoing project. The role involves providing 24/7 technical support and monitoring for enterprise systems and networks to ensure seamless performance. The ideal candidate will work primarily on a rotating night shift from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM CT.
Location:
This is a hybrid role requiring two days onsite in Pensacola, FL and three days fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze network performance, identifying trends and diagnosing issues.
Utilize monitoring tools such as Logic Monitor, Moogsoft, and Dynatrace to ensure optimal system functionality.
Respond to alerts, manage incident tickets, and collaborate with vendors for swift resolutions.
Conduct troubleshooting and escalate incidents as needed.
Maintain and configure network equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
Provide preventative maintenance on network circuits at remote sites.
Document technical procedures and assist in updating relevant materials.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of enterprise networking concepts and Cisco terminology.
Experience with LAN/WAN topologies, protocols, and standards.
Familiarity with SDWAN, including troubleshooting within a Cisco environment.
Proficiency in maintaining and configuring network devices, including installation and management of VLANs.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
CCNA or CCNP certifications are a plus.
Experience presenting technical solutions effectively.
Training:
Note that there is a two-week onboarding training period that requires daily attendance on campus.
