Responsibilities The Physical Therapist - Journey Traveler must be able to travel nationwide for 13-week assignments, providing flexible work in various settings. Responsibilities include:
Assessing patient needs, developing, and delivering physical therapy programs for rehabilitation.
Making referrals to other disciplines to address comprehensive patient needs.
Implementing individualized therapy plans to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance.
Instructing, educating, and training patients and caregivers to promote independence.
Supervising support personnel as per state licensure and standards.
Ensuring effective and timely delivery of rehab services, documentation, and adherence to care plans.
Participating in team meetings and contributing to patient care strategies.
Ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety standards.
Providing high-quality, compassionate patient service.
Performing evaluations, establishing diagnoses, and planning care with measurable goals.
Applying therapeutic techniques including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, airway techniques, and use of modalities.
Designing and fitting adaptive devices, training patients in their use, and instructing in mobility activities.
Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in the practicing state(s) or proof of license and eligibility.
Master's degree in Physical Therapy, or related field with a Bachelor's plus 5 years of experience.
Degree earned outside the U.S. must be evaluated as equivalent.
Availability to travel and reside temporarily outside the primary home location.
Salary Range USD $60.00 - USD $70.00 per hour.
Additional Details Position is full-time, entry-level, within the healthcare provider industry, focusing on physical, occupational, and speech therapies.
