Join to apply for the Oriental Chef role at IHG Hotels & Resorts
Under the guidance of the Executive Chef or delegate, the Oriental Chef oversees procedures, service performance, and product standards within the Oriental Section, managing all aspects of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Plans and supervises production of all cold and hot Oriental dishes, including à la carte orders, buffet preparation, banquets, and outside catering, ensuring freshness and proper preparation.
Maintains high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within the Oriental Section.
Coordinates daily and weekly menus and functions, determining the types and quantities of mezzeh to prepare.
Dresses according to kitchen standards, including chef's jacket, checked trousers, apron, nametag, socks, and safe shoes.
Ensures hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards are met.
Qualifications:
High School Degree and Culinary Arts qualification.
Basic food hygiene certificates.
At least two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a five-star hotel.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
Basic computer skills are appreciated.
