Are you a detail-oriented organiser with a passion for creating seamless, high-quality event experiences? We're looking for two Conference and Functions Coordinators to manage and coordinate a variety of conferences, meetings, and functions for our new All of Government meeting space.

This is a professional, customer-focused role where you'll be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of events-from venue setup and audiovisual arrangements to catering and client liaison.
You'll ensure every event runs smoothly and leaves a positive impression on all attendees.

What you'll be doing:

Coordinating and delivering a range of events, including meetings, conferences, corporate functions, and social gatherings.
Managing all aspects of event logistics, including room setup, AV requirements, catering, and signage.
Acting as the main point of contact for clients and guests, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience.
Liaising with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution.
Monitoring event timelines and responding to last-minute changes with confidence and efficiency.

Ngā pukenga me ngā wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and Experience Required

Previous experience in conference/event coordination, hospitality, or catering management.
Sound organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Knowledge of catering services, menu planning, and dietary considerations.
Understanding of AV equipment and conference room setup is an advantage.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
A positive attitude and professional demeanour.
Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
Flexibility to work in alternative buildings when required.
