Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
Reporting to the Director, the Operations Implementation Lead will lead the implementation of a new operations roadmap, championing efficient ways of working across people, systems, services, and data. You will support the Ako ā-Mahi team and the UC Careers team (the "Joint Team") to drive collaborative practices, clarify responsibilities through RACI frameworks, and improve internal communications that strengthen project delivery and team culture.

Key Responsibilities

Design and optimise systems and processes that align with our team's shared KPIs focused on student employability and ideal employment outcomes.

Lead and manage operational projects with a clear focus on milestones, benefits, and resource planning.

Develop tools and dashboards to enable data-driven decision-making and performance tracking.

Manage project budgets and ensure strong commercial outcomes.

Champion an agile and high-functioning team culture by promoting shared visions of operational success and supporting capability development.

Align with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

Mōu | Who You Are
In this role, you will be a senior operations professional with extensive experience in leading business process improvement and project delivery, ideally using Agile methodologies, and have:

Advanced Microsoft Office application skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word, Outlook, Power BI) and competency in modern office technology

Experience in business process improvement

Extensive experience in project management, ideally with Agile methodologies

Excellent influencing and communication skills to facilitate quality and fast decision-making

Initiative and drive to complete deliverables and bring everyone along

A professional approach with an ability to lead new operational change initiatives with tact, diplomacy, and judgment

Able to handle ambiguity with multiple concurrent tasks and changing/competing priorities

Active commitment to upholding the values, tikanga (protocols and processes), kawa (rules) of cultural practice and traditions as guided by mana whenua, Ngāi Tūāhuriri, and valuing te reo Māori

Competency in te reo Māori me ōna tikanga is an advantage

Experience working in a tertiary setting is preferred but not required.
