The Role
Under the guidance and supervision of the Front Desk Manager and/or the Night Manager, and within the limits of the established Accor & OSM (Operational Standards Manual), his/her responsibilities are to provide efficient, personalized, courteous, and punctual service and to practice up-selling techniques. To work with a team spirit and ensure that each guest leaves the property fully satisfied and with the wish to return.
Must be thoroughly familiar with all Accor corporate and local Operational Standards and ensure they are followed. He/She is responsible for supervising the operations at the front desk according to our hotel standards to ensure guest satisfaction under the control of the Front Office Manager. Must assist in accomplishing obligations and goals as outlined below:
Key Deliverables and Responsibilities
Planning & Organizing:
Review and update Logbook
Check equipment
Be smart, well-groomed, and maintain a friendly and cheerful disposition at all times
Oversee the day-to-day operations
Report regularly on happenings to Supervisors / Night Manager (if on shift)
Monitor employees' performance and coaching
Fire procedures
First aid procedures
Handle guest complaints and report to manager
Implement and coordinate the Front Office OSM
Perform as per OSM standards and in line with the company's values and core behavior
Be fully aware of the talk of the walk for the day
Maintain proper grooming at all times
Attend training classes as scheduled
Show full cooperation and respect within the team and other departments
Be aware of daily activities and possess product knowledge of hotel facilities
Ensure panic report is printed during the shift at least twice
Operations:
Prepare for daily arrivals regarding room allocation and check traces for any special requests
Register and process check-in for all arrivals
Update and check guest information in the computer after complete check-in
Responsible for cashiering duties, foreign exchange transactions, night audits, and settlement upon guest departure
Handle walk-in reservations and process call-in reservations when the reservation section is closed
Provide friendly, smooth, courteous service and respond promptly to requests and inquiries
Resolve guest complaints/requests and liaise with concerned departments for immediate follow-up
Handle issuance of guest room key cards and ensure effective control for guest security
Check and convey messages to guests
Assist at the information counter, foreign exchange, night audit, and business center as assigned
Review logbook, verify outstanding issues, and follow up on pending items
Check hotel situation, occupancy, functions, groups, MIPs/VIPs & RIPs
File daily reception reports and documents systematically
Print panic reports at least twice per shift
Attend briefings, take notes, and follow up on actions
Maintain eye contact and acknowledge all guests at the desk
Communicate all relevant information to the next shift for smooth operations
Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and management regarding VIPs and special guests
Be familiar with all related company documentation and operational standards
Maintain perfect grooming at all times
Drive upselling
Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested
Generic Aspects on Hygiene / Personal Safety / Environment / Confidentiality:
Ensure proper care of all equipment and furniture entrusted for Heartists use
Be familiar with hotel policies, emergency procedures, and physical layout
Know safety regulations and ensure their application for safety of people and property
Respect and ensure adherence to the hotel's environmental commitments
Follow rules and regulations in the Heartists Handbook and hotel policies on fire, hygiene, health, and safety
Safeguard confidential records and information
Do not disclose financial or other confidential information of Accor Hotels

Qualifications
Diploma in Hotel Management

Additional Information
Vibrant personality, professional, and always presentable
A positive 'can-do' attitude and ability to work within a team
Experience as a Front Desk Receptionist in a hotel
Fluency in English; additional languages such as Arabic, Chinese, German, or French are a plus
Well-versed in Opera software
