Reporting into the General Manager, Auto, this purpose of this role is to be responsible for driving the growth and success of Avanti Finance Group's Automotive division by leading a high-performing sales team and cultivating strong, value-driven relationships with key partners across New Zealand. You will champion Avanti's strategic vision, expand our market presence, and ensure our finance offerings are recognised and utilised across both prime and sub-prime segment
Key Focus Areas
Execution - Lead the implementation of Avanti's automotive strategy, ensuring our finance solutions are well-positioned and widely adopted across all market segment
Market Intelligence & Innovation- Leverage market insights to identify opportunities, inform product development, and attract new customer relationships through innovative offering
Introducer Network Growth - Expand and deepen relationships with dealers and distributors, building a robust and engaged Introducer network nationwide
Team Empowerment - Lead, support, and develop the Relationship Management team, providing the tools, guidance, and strategic direction needed to excel.
In This Role, You Will Do-the-Doing With:

Drive new business growth in line with strategic goals, with a strong focus on the Auto markets.
Establish and execute personal sales strategies to meet monthly targets.
Proactively build new referral networks with dealers and distributors.
Contribute to the broader Sales and Marketing Plan with data-driven insights.
Relationship Management
Develop and maintain Key Account Strategies with monthly reviews.
Implement structured call plans with clear objectives.
Deliver ongoing training to Introducers on lending standards and new products.
Manage Introducer engagement, including events and promotions.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Introducers and internal teams.
Foster a positive, collaborative culture between Avanti staff and Introducers.
Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development for Relationship Managers.
Support BDMs with mentoring, compliance, and relationship management.
Contribute to the management of key Introducer relationship.
Customer Service & Co mpliance
Ensure timely and effective communication and training for Introducers.
Take ownership of customer and Introducer issues, resolving them efficiently.
Escalate complex matters to the General Manager - Auto as needed.
Uphold compliance and risk management standards, operating within the three lines of defence mode.
The Successful Candidate W ill Have:

Proven expertise in automotive retail, with in-depth knowledge of dealer operations, customer needs, and market dynamics.
Strong commercial acumen, consistently converting sales opportunities into lasting partnerships.
Solid understanding of finance systems and legislation (e.g., CCCFA), applied effectively in sales contexts.
Sales leadership or business development experience, ideally in financial services or automotive finance.
Advanced digital skills; adept at creating insightful reports and dashboards using spreadsheets and CRM tools.
Self-motivated and results-focused, with strong time management and the ability to thrive under pressure.
Excellent communication and influencing skills, engaging stakeholders and leading persuasive sales discussions.
Adaptable and resilient, comfortable with change and navigating ambiguity.
Confident and empathetic, skilled in managing challenging conversations with professionalism.
Collaborative and hands-on, with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
Committed to growth, with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.
