Financial Planning Administrator, The Role: I am recruiting a Financial Planning Administrator / IFA Administrator to join the team at MLP Wealth Management, a progressive and ambitious independent Chartered Financial Planning firm based in Banstead, Surrey (SM7). Working in a collaborative, fast paced and client focused team, the Financial Planning Administrator provides administrative support to the Financial Planners and Paraplanners, working with them to deliver an exceptional financial planning service to their clients.

The Opportunity: This role provides exceptional career opportunities – we are very happy to recruit a career Administrator who enjoys working in a fast paced, varied and involved support role, however, if you would like to progress, you will receive the support required to become Diploma qualified and, as your skills and experience develop, the further opportunity to become a Paraplanner and a Chartered Financial Planner/ Financial Adviser.

The Person: The successful Financial Planning Administrator will be proactive, organised and detail orientated, with excellent administrative and customer service skills. They will be embracing of change and happy working in a fast-paced, client centric, collaborative team environment. The successful candidate will also have experience of working in a financial services environment (ideally financial planning, financial advice or similar).

Salary and Benefits: Basic salary up to £40,000 (dependant on experience) + generous pension + continued professional development + 25 days holiday + bank holidays + private health care + team events + flexible working etc.

Financial Planning Administrator / IFA Administrator, Responsibilities:
• Provide the administrative assistance involved in the delivery of financial planning services to clients, ensuring the service is delivered on time and to a consistently high standard.
• Liaise with Financial Planners, Paraplanners and clients via email, phone, or face to face to ensure a smooth and compliant client process.
• Develop relationships with clients, arranging and preparing for initial and review meetings.
• Liaise with product providers and other third parties as necessary, obtaining policy information and updating records.
• Process new and existing business.
• Effectively onboard new clients.
• Assist Paraplanners with the creation of suitability letters and reports.
• Record and maintain accurate data using the company’s back-office computer system.
• General administration as required to support the business.
• Ensure all business is conducted in a responsible and compliant manner.

Financial Planning Administrator / IFA Administrator, Skills and Experience:
• Previous involved administrative experience gained in a financial services environment (ideally financial planning, financial advice or similar).
• Excellent administrative and organisational skills, quality focused, analytical, with a keen eye for detail.
• A proactive, collaborative team player with a caring and customer centric approach, who takes pride in providing a service of the highest standard.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• An aptitude for technology and competent with MS Office programmes.
• Keen to learn, embracing of change and happy working in a fast-paced environment.
