Our client, a leading hedge fund, is in search of an experienced Software Engineer proficient in Machine Learning, based in London. In this position, you'll collaborate with a team dedicated to designing, building, and maintaining backend applications and frameworks essential to the expansive quant trading operations. This presents an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to collaborate closely with Data Scientists and ML researchers in architecting, designing, and building the organisation's evolving ML infrastructure.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess over 5 years of experience as a backend Software Engineer, with a solid background in Python and Kubernetes with expertise in deploying ML models.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain multiple backend applications and frameworks crucial for quants and traders.
Contribute to future plans and roadmaps, emphasising the development of flexible, scalable, and well-designed systems.
Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, ML researchers, and fellow developers to architect, design, construct, and maintain the constantly evolving ML infrastructure.
Requirements:
Over 5 years of experience as a backend Software Engineer.
Strong desire for Machine Learning Infrastructure experience or prior involvement in the field.
Proficiency in Python.
Possession of a Computer Science Degree or equivalent.
Strong familiarity with Kubernetes and Containerisation concepts.
