We are working with a very well-regarded asset manager to hire an experienced Investment Writer to join their team in London. Our client has a long-term investment horizon with a quality growth style. They are looking for someone who can build relationships with key stakeholders in the business to create interesting commentary covering Equity, Fixed Income and Multi-Asset.
The firm has seen a period of strong performance, contributing to growth in AUM. Culturally, the team is very much about working together, showing humility and encouraging self-reflection and personal development.
The successful candidate will create engaging content on market outlooks and sustainability insights. The writer will also collaborate with the investment team and marketing colleagues to generate campaigns and endorse products, improving market position. You will be working in a collaborative and inspiring environment with a business that is dedicated to delivering sustainable returns to their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Working alongside the portfolio management team and analysts to obtain technical knowledge that informs content production
Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders in Investments to ensure accuracy of messaging, alignment of content with business priorities and timely delivery
Create engaging and sophisticated commentaries that discuss economic market outlooks for investors, themes/trends seen in the investment portfolios as well as sustainability insights
Work with Marketing and Communications Manager to Support their promotion of fund, sustainability and market commentary
Collaborate with the Business Development team to support investment content in RFPs and presentation, transforming complex investments content into client-friendly documentation
Staying well informed about financial market developments and firm's portfolio
Grasp complex concepts and convert them into clear communication messages
Applying your own creative strategy, generating innovative ideas and executing it effectively in order to raise funds
Essential Skills and Experience:
Demonstratable years of financial journalism and/or investment writing experience e
Thorough understanding of investments; follower of the financial markets.
Excellent writer who can write efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communications and relationship management skills; able to earn respect and trust among business partners and team members, and to deal effectively at all levels of the organisation.
Expert in global equities and/or multi-asset products would be an advantage.
Efficient project management skills and well-organised proactive approach.
