We are rapidly expanding here at StandardAero, and are looking for a CNC/Spray Technician to join our team!

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To carry out the required surface preparation and apply / spray coatings to achieve the surface finishes that meet the repair and material specification requirements
  • Conduct all work in accordance with company policies, health and safety procedures, quality procedures, manufactures and customer specification and industry regulations.
  • Complete all documents related to the work being performed
  • Prepare surfaces by ensuring part cleanliness by degreasing, and blasting.
  • Apply masking protection on all non-coated surfaces for the plasma spray process
  • Ensure all equipment is safe and satisfactory to use, rectifying any unsafe conditions within the jobholder's capability.
  • Preparation of test samples which include tensile, hardness and met metallurgical.
  • Competent computer user.
  • Able to use breathing apparatus
  • Adherence to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business
  • Manuals


Able to read, write and carry out calculations accurately. Knowledge of Geometry and Trigonometry advantageous.

Functional:

Essential

  • Experience from an equivalent role in a similar industry;
  • Ability to read and use precision measuring equipment;
  • Ability to read technical engineering drawings, both modern and older standards;
  • Familiarity with imperial measurement.
Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:

Essential

These are vital to be able to perform the role and will be used as selection criteria during recruitment process:

  • Recognised indentured apprenticeship or military equivalent;
  • Human Factors.


Desirable

  • Suitable engineering qualification
  • Experience on CNC/robotics systems
  • Previous experience within an aerospace MRO environment
