Assistant Accountant | £30,000-32,000 | Liverpool
A successful and well established retail/distribution company in Liverpool is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their team.
Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:
Supporting the month end process by posting accruals, prepayments and journals
Balance sheet reconciliations including bank, nominal and general ledger
Preparing monthly KPI and sales reports
Helping out with preparing audits
Overseeing the accounts payable function including processing of invoices, statement reconciliations and payment runs
Running the accounts receivable function including raising invoices and chasing payments
For this Assistant Accountant role, you must have:
Experience in supporting month end preparation of accounts with knowledge of accruals and prepayments ideally
Accounts payable background would be advantageous
AAT part/fully qualified
Excellent communication skills
Proactive, continuous improvement mindset in order to be able to support process improvements
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organisational skills
