Migrant Help are currently looking for an Information Security Officer to join our team based in Dover (Hybrid Working).
In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £37,500 - £40,5000 per annum (depending on experience).

The Information Security Officer role:

Part of the Technology and Transformation team, the Information Security Officer is a new and exciting role at Migrant Help.
You will play a vital role in providing security assurance across the organisation to progress the Migrant Help Strategy of 2024-29 and thereafter.
Due to our growth as an organisation and the decision made for Technology & Transformation to take on responsibility for internal systems, additional security resources have been approved to help support our colleagues achieve successful outcomes for our clients.
If you have demonstrable experience providing security advice on a day-to-day operations and are passionate about enhancing information security resilience within an organisation, and are looking for an exciting role that makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you!
Key responsibilities of our Outreach Adviser:

Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and evaluate security risks and vulnerabilities in MH systems and operating environment
Provide security advisory on day-to-day operations and on new technologies to enhance the organisation resilience to potential threats
Implement and enforce security policies, procedures and processes
Respond to security breaches and incidents, conduct investigations and implement corrective actions
Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of security controls identifying any gaps and opportunities for improvement
Produce reports for the Information Governance / ISMS Group (IG/ISMS), Information Asset Owners (IAOs) and the Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) as required
Ensure that technology infrastructure and applications comply with security laws, regulations and standards
Support training and awareness programmes for employees on security best practices
Maintain currency with emerging security trends, frameworks, standards and
regulations to support the organisational objectives
Skills and experience we are looking for in our Information Security Officer:

Proficiency in security domains, tools and technologies such as DLP, SIEM, SOAR and Vulnerability Management
Good working knowledge of network security, firewalls, threat management,
endpoint detection and response
Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving experience to address security challenges effectively
