IT Operation Manager - Skywise / Foundry H/F

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Leader specializing in Skywise to join our Information Management (IM) H/F IT Department within the Data & Analytics domain.

In this critical role, you will be the technical authority and go-to expert for the Skywise platform, driving its adoption, ensuring its optimal performance, and guiding the technical direction for its integration within our data and analytics landscape.

You will work closely with data scientists, data engineers, IT architects, and business users to leverage the full capabilities of Skywise to deliver valuable insights and solutions for Airbus Helicopters.

• Skywise Platform Expertise: Serve as the primary technical expert for the Airbus Skywise platform within the organization, possessing deep knowledge of its architecture, functionalities, data models, and APIs.
  
• Technical Leadership & Guidance: Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineers, data scientists, and other technical teams on the effective utilization of Skywise for data ingestion, processing, storage, analysis, and visualization.
  
• Skywise Solution Design & Architecture: Design and architect robust, scalable, and performant data and analytics solutions leveraging the Skywise platform, ensuring alignment with overall IT architecture and data strategy.
  
• Integration & Interoperability: Lead the technical integration of Skywise with other enterprise systems and data sources, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
  
• Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting: Monitor and optimize the performance of Skywise environments, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement solutions to ensure platform stability and reliability.
  
• Best Practices & Standards: Define and enforce best practices, coding standards, and guidelines for developing and deploying solutions on the Skywise platform.
  
• Knowledge Sharing & Mentoring: Share knowledge and expertise on Skywise with the wider technical community within Airbus Helicopters, mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  
• Collaboration with Airbus Skywise Teams: Act as the primary technical point of contact with the central Airbus Skywise teams, collaborating on platform updates, new features, and issue resolution.
  
• Security & Compliance: Ensure that all Skywise-based solutions adhere to relevant security policies, data governance regulations, and compliance standards.
  
• Innovation & Adoption: Stay abreast of new features and capabilities within the Skywise platform and drive their adoption within Airbus Helicopters to enhance our data and analytics capabilities.
  
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation related to Skywise architecture, configurations, and best practices.
  

• Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  
• Extensive Skywise Experience: Proven and deep hands-on experience (typically 5+ years) working extensively with the Airbus Skywise platform in a complex enterprise environment.
  
• Strong Technical Background: Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data lake architectures, computing platforms, big data technologies (e. g. , Spark, Hadoop), and data integration tools.
  
• Programming & Scripting Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming languages relevant to data processing and analysis (e. g. , Python, Scala, SQL).
  
• API Integration Expertise: Strong experience in working with and integrating various APIs, including those provided by the Skywise platform.
  
• Performance Tuning & Optimization: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues in complex data processing pipelines and platform environments.
  
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong ability to troubleshoot technical challenges.
  
• Collaboration & Communication: Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  
• Agile Experience: Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  
• Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Understanding of the aviation or aerospace industry and its data challenges is a plus.
  
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of French is advantageous.
