Sales Manager

Agilus is recruiting for a Sales Manager in the Steel industry in Edmonton, Alberta.

The Sales Manager will be tasked with supervising team training, evaluating performance, and monitoring sales metrics.

A typical day:

  • Establish a routine for the Sales team to engage with customers consistently
  • Collaborate with the central office to develop a pricing strategy.
  • Monitor inventory levels
  • Lead and motivate the sales team
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies as well as setting and achieving sales targets.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities.
  • Prepare and present weekly sales reports to management.

Successful candidates will have:

  • 5+ years of sales experience plus at least 3+ years of management experience
  • Experience with reading and understanding Mill Test reports and Customer Specifications will be an asset
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative and willing to coach the team as needed
  • Excellent computer skills
  • A steel manufacturing background, experience in oil and gas (downstream), or Mill Test Report experience would be an asset
  • Organizing and multitasking, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible as travel is required
  • Willing to learn
