VIE-CANADA-Flight Test Center Power Up project engineer - H/F

You will be directly reporting to the director of the Flight Test Center and you will be acting as Flight Test Center Power Up project engineer. In that role you will coordinate several activities to develop the maturity of the freshly created A220 Flight Test Center.

On top of coordinating this maturity project, you will specifically lead technical projects. Here is a list of projects to be confirmed based on the timeframe of your arrival and FITC priorities :
Telemetry room set-up

Flight Test Vehicle FTI obsolescence (mapping and overhaul)

Flight Test Competencies : team upskilling

Rig configuration management process

Those missions will be clearly defined in terms of scope, timeframe and expected results by your manager and you will be fully empowered to deliver on TCQP (Time, Cost, Quality and Performance) with the support and expertise of ABIV team members.

This 2 years experience in flight test will enable you to develop the following knowledge and skills :
Broad knowledge and expertise of the different areas of the flight test world : Flight Test Instrumentation, Flight Test techniques and processes, Flight Test planning, Flight Test Vehicle maintenance…

Deep knowledge in operational aviation with the best expert Pilots and Test Engineers

Unique understanding of the functioning of a major Aircraft Manufacturer engineering team

Adaptation, team work capacities, project management skills

Desired skills and qualifications

During your previous studies and experience, you have developed the following skills:
Engineer degree (or equivalent) in Aeronautics,

First practical experience in the field of Aeronautical engineering is desirable, specific knowledge of Flight Test environment would be a plus

High level of autonomy and drive, self-organized

Analytical and synthesis skills

Good communication skills with an open-minded and proactive attitude

Language skills expected :
English: Intermediate

French: Advanced
