Our client, a leader in Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Tooling/Fixture Engineer in their Windsor, Ontario Facility.
The Tooling/Fixture Engineer is responsible for supporting new product launches and ECN changes.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a manufacturing or stamping environment, and will have knowledge of materials, machining processes and fabrication techniques.
Fixture Engineer (New Model) will help coordinate and follow-up on New Product Launches and ECN changes
Design and develop Check Fixtures with fixture shop for use in tooling and stamping operations, ensuring they meet product specifications and quality standards.
Collaborate with the engineering team to understand product requirements and translate them into fixture designs.
Work with New Model and production teams to implement fixture designs.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fixture performance, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal functionality.
Maintain detailed records of fixture designs, modifications, and testing results.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, toolmakers, and production staff, to ensure seamless integration of fixtures into the manufacturing process.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fixture design, tooling, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing or stamping environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly stamping operations.
Knowledge of materials, machining processes, and fabrication techniques.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
