Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications:

Project Planning and Execution: Key Deliverables

Develop, execute, and maintain detailed project plans from initial concept through deployment.
Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, balancing short-term objectives with long-term goals.
Monitor project milestones, manage dependencies, and adjust plans as needed to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

Coordinate efforts across diverse teams, including technical, design, and operational teams, ensuring clarity and alignment with project objectives.
Serve as the primary liaison between the project team and key stakeholders, facilitating ongoing communication and issue resolution.

Risk and Issue Management:

Proactively identify potential project risks and create actionable mitigation strategies.
Conduct regular project health assessments, ensuring transparency of project status and risks with senior stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, facilitating regular updates and feedback sessions.
Prepare and present project reports, highlighting key milestones, risks, and changes to ensure alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations.

Public Sector Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure adherence to relevant public sector standards, guidelines, and policies, including I&IT Directive and the PMO Stage Gate process.
Complete required documentation for project phases, including business cases, risk assessments, and impact analyses, ensuring compliance with Ontario Government protocols.

Roadmap Creation and Executive Updates:

Develop comprehensive project roadmaps outlining key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
Provide regular updates to management and executive teams, ensuring they are informed of project progress, risks, and any necessary adjustments.

Required Experience and Skills:

Project Management Expertise:

Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-phase projects, with a track record of on-time and on-budget delivery.
Strong knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps) for tracking and managing progress.

Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management:

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders across multiple departments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering executive-level project updates and reports.

Risk and Budget Management:

Skilled in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation to manage project risks effectively.
Proficiency in project budget planning and monitoring to ensure adherence to financial constraints.

Public Sector Experience:

Familiarity with public sector project management standards, including Ontario's PMO Stage Gate process and other government protocols.
Experience managing projects within a regulated environment, with adherence to relevant policies and security practices.

Technical and Tool Proficiency:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform and related integration practices.
Proficiency in online collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Miro, Atlassian Confluence) to facilitate team communication.

Soft Skills:

Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Ability to navigate and respond to changing project demands and constraints.

Leadership and Collaboration:

Experience building consensus across teams and fostering a positive project team environment.

Attention to Detail:

Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail in managing complex project deliverables.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Agile and Scrum experience, with knowledge of delivering projects in an Agile environment.
Familiarity with the ITIL framework and Service Ontario/Ministry of Government and Consumer Services procedures.
Experience with privacy, security, and compliance documentation related to digital transformation projects.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Experience with end-to-end projects (multi-year projects - large duration/large budget)
Strong documentation experience (hands-on)
Stakeholder management and cross functional teams / multiple stakeholders
Prior OPS experience
